Regulations

Like any service field, the library has disciplinary rules. Below are some of these rules.

  • Silence must be observed in the library area and reading rooms, otherwise the person who violates the rules may be expelled from the library;
  • It is undesirable for students to enter the library area wearing outerwear, such as coats and jackets;
  • If a student have lost or rendered useless an international edition textbook which he (she) borrowed from the library, the student then must submit to the library the identical textbook or its copy or, alternatively, he (she) must pay compensation to the library in the amount of the price of the textbook. If a student have lost or rendered useless a local edition textbook, he (she) must submit to the library the identical textbook or its copy or, alternatively, the student must pay compensation to the library in the amount of 10 times the price of the textbook.
  • According to the regulations, a user who grossly violates the rules of the library can be deprived of the right to use the library for the period of no more than 3 months. The librarian also has the right to reclaim books from such a user.
