Student Youth Organization (SYO) of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) conducted a meeting for BHOS first-year students dedicated to young people’s social activities. At the meeting, representatives of various national organizations, which operate in the country and work with youth, made presentations on the topic. Opening the gathering, Chairperson of SYO of the Higher School Kenan Sadigov spoke about his experience as a volunteer and his participation in social projects.

Representatives of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union Leman Javadova and Javid Huseynov and a representative of the “Bir” volunteer program for students of the Ministry of Education Safar Mamedov provided detailed information about the philosophy and principles of volunteer activities and told about projects and programs implemented by their organizations. Then they answered questions asked by the undergraduates.

Speaking at the meeting, students of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Nijat Samedov and Samir Salimli shared their experience of participation in volunteer programs and their opinion about volunteer’s mission and responsibilities. The meeting was aimed at raising BHOS students’ awareness of opportunities to be socially active and participate in youth initiatives.
