Presentation of Personal Information System at BHOS

          Capacities and advantages of Personal Information System (PIS) were presented to management, academic-teaching staff and staff members of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS). The presentation was conducted by teacher of the Petroleum Engineering department Tural Abdullayev. Head of BHOS E-Training department Sharif Khurshudov also participated in developing and further upgrading of the system.

 

          Opening the gathering, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov said that the new information system would provide prompt and easy access to educational programs and emphasized that utilization of PIS would enable teachers of the Higher School to optimize the academic teaching process.

 

          In his presentation, Tural Abdullayev provided detailed information about PIS, its capacities, advantages, purpose and methods of utilization. He reported that the information system comprises five main components and includes, among others, the following modules: Marks, Departments and Programs, Student Information, Exams, Tests, Templates and Reports, Messages, Schedule, Applications, CVs, and Library. As Tural Abdullayev said, the PIS system allows to enter data about academic workload and academic-teaching staff, prepare scientific documentation, collect statistic data, keep student attendance records and conduct other operations.
