          First staff meeting was held at a new campus of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS). The meeting gathered BHOS management, teachers, professors and staff members. At the beginning, a TV spot on the campus opening ceremony with participation of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev on May 1, 2017.

 

          Speaking at the meeting, the BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov congratulated all staff members on the opening of the new campus and wished them every success in their work in the new premises. “Opening of the new campus is a great achievement for us. This educational complex is built in accordance with highest international standards, with the use of advanced technologies and on the basis of experience of the most worldwide known universities. I express my gratitude to SOCAR management for their support and assistance in creating such a beautiful and modern campus in a short time,” he said. Elmar Gasimov also informed about plans to open new faculties at BHOS and increase number of foreign students admitted to the Higher School.

 

          BHOS Vice-Rector for Administrative and General Services Affairs Oktay Rzayev made a presentation on the new campus’ structure, facilities and conditions. Dean of Engineering Department Zafar Gurbanov and professor of the Higher School’s Chemical Engineering Faculty, Head of Military Hospital of State Border of the Azerbaijan Republic Kanan Yusif-zada congratulated their colleagues on the new campus opening and told about remarkable achievements attained by BHOS. Speaking about prospects of the Higher School development, they expressed confidence that the Baku Higher Oil School would soon become the best university in the region.
