BHOS students successfully participated in SOCAR Summer School 2016
August 21-28 SOCAR human resources department organized SOCAR Summer School project 2016 at Ramada Hotel in Baku. In general, 702 applications were submitted to join the project, of them 517 gained access to the test. Following the test 89 people got the right to join competition. Out of this number, only 30 ones successfully became entitled to participate in SOCAR Summer School 2016 project. Amongst them there were 12 SOCAR representatives and the rest 18 ones were the students representing various universities. Four students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) were also amongst participants of the said project. Narmin Bakhishova, second year student studying in chemical engineering program as a member of ‘Cyclohexane’ team became the winner, Haydar Najafov, third year student studying in the same programme and representing ‘Breaking Brains’ team became the runner-up, Oruj Alimardanli, second year student studying in petroleum engineering programme as a member of ‘6S’ team became the third and Arif Sadigli, third year student studying in the same programme and representing ‘Genius Engineers’ team finished the competition at fourth position. In addition Oruj Alimardanli was awarded as one of four most active participants of the project.
In frames of the project participants had a chance to attend various presentations relating to petroleum sphere and meet SOCAR first vice president Khoshbekht Yusifzade and other vice presidents. In the course of the project participants were involved in various team activities, intellectual competitions, talent shows and presentation of specific topics within their groups. In addition, participants visited Sumgayit history museum, ‘Azerkimya’ production union and ‘Eco Park’ situated in Qala village near Baku.
