BHOS community and members of staff from the Library held a meeting with EBSCO representatives Mrs. Iryna Krejcarova – Regional manager and Ms. Tamila Mirkamalova –Training Specialist for Russia and CIS countries at  EBSCO Information Services.  EBSCO is a leading global provider of multi-disciplinary electronic resources. The meeting was geared towards electronic books, EBSCO discovery tools and Plum™ Analytics.

 

During the training Ms. Tamila Mirkamalova, focused on EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) and eBooks which are available for BHOS. The participants provided with the best experience on the mechanics and special features of EDS and  also trained on the techniques in conducting the full text access subscribed electronic resources for scientific and educational purposes.

 

 

Mrs. Iryna Krejcarova presented Plum™ Analytics that became part of EBSCO Information Services.  Plum Analytics is the first altmetrics provider to move beyond metrics about articles and track all research output in any form, providing a powerful tool that augments traditional metrics. This product delivers a more complete picture of research and answers questions about research impact for anyone including researchers, librarians, administrators, and funders.
