BHOS Students’ Fourth Scientific and Technical Conference dedicated to 93^rd anniversary of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Haydar Aliyev, held between April 19-22, 2016, finished. Closing ceremony of the conference gathered BHOS management, professors and lecturers, students, representatives of SOCAR as well as international companies functioning in Azerbaijan.

 

Addressing the attendees BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov thanked organizational committee of the conference, professors and lecturers as well as everyone who approached the science with interest and due responsibility including international companies. BHOS Rector stressed that conference served to raise students’ interest in science, develop their skills to carry out scientific research presenting outcomes of the said research. Highly valuing scientific works presented by students Elmar Gasimov said he was convinced that they would have successful future career contributing to the scientific sphere of Azerbaijan. He also valued the fact that students’ scientific works would be published as a single book emphasizing that the book would prove the interests shown by Azerbaijani youth to science.

 

          Representatives of international companies functioning in Azerbaijan thanked BHOS management for organization of the above event and for importance attached to science development. Conference in question got positive feedback and the willingness directed to cooperation with BHOS in the field of training of future specialists was expressed.

 

          BHOS rector Elmar Gasimov granted BHOS certificates and encouraging presents from such companies as SOCAR, BP, Statoil, Total, Schneider Electric, Schlumberger, Emerson Process Management, ABB and Avandsis Group to students distinguished with the most interesting presentations.

 

          Certificates and encouraging presents were granted to 13 students from petroleum engineering specialization, 9 students from process automation engineering specialization, 18 students from chemical engineering specialization, 12 students distinguished in the field of physics and math. In addition, State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources decided on grating one-month scholarship for 12 BHOS students with the best presentations. It should be pointed out that 121 presentations were made during the conference.
