Сhairman of Technip Energies Marco Villa visits BHOS
The Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS) has hosted an event dedicated to the fifth year of the Master Technology Transfer Program.
Before the event, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov met with a delegation led by Deputy of Milli Majlis Soltan Mamedov and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Business Officer of Technip Energies Marco Villa.
The rector informed the guests about the modern educational conditions and research environment created at the university, as well as about the successes achieved by BHOS students and graduates. Elmar Gasimov emphasized the importance of cooperation with Technip Energies and noted that such partnership has a positive impact on the professional development of students and graduates.
Marco Villa praised the activities of BHOS, emphasizing that 14 graduates of the university currently work at Technip Energies. This shows that Baku Higher Oil School provides quality education.
This was followed by speeches and presentations on the results of the 5-year implementation of the program.
After that, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov presented “Honorary Guest” plaques to Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Business Officer of Technip Energies Marco Villa, Vice President for Sales, Strategy and Marketing of Technip Energies Luigi Fiorentino, Executive Director of the Baku Operations Center of Technip Energies Gianluca Florio, Administrative Director of Technip Energies Sabina Abbasova and Deputy of Milli Majlis Soltan Mammadov.
As part of the Memorandum of Cooperation concluded between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Italian company Technip Energies, the project “Master's program for the transfer of technological knowledge to students studying in the field of oil, gas and petrochemistry” has been implemented since 2019. The company awards a certificate to students who successfully complete the program and also provides them with employment opportunities. Over the past 5 years, 192 students of Baku Higher Oil School have participated in this program.
