Summer school on ‘Energy Policy for Sustainable Development towards 2050’ held at Baku Higher Oil School
A summer school on "Energy Policy for Sustainable Development towards 2050" was held at the Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS).
20 BHOS students earned the right to participate in the summer school.
Jamila Askarova, a program manager at the Administration Office, emphasized the importance of the program and urged the students to participate actively in it.
Discussions on such topics as "Classification of energy types", "The role of fossil fuels and renewable energy sources in society and the environment", "Energy security", "Oil fiscal systems and mining contracts", "Determination of renewable energy sources and their role in current and future energy supply" were held as part of the summer school.
The program participants also visited the Gobustan State Historical-Artistic Reserve and Dashgil Mud Volcano.
The summer program coordinated by Rauf Nadirov, an associate professor at the Petroleum Engineering Department, ended on July 4.
Certificates were presented to the program participants at the closing ceremony.
