Student of Baku Higher Oil School receives Presidential Award

Fatima Mammadova, a 5th-year student of the “Chemical Engineering” specialty of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), is one of the young people awarded by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Granting Presidential Awards 2024 for Youth”.

Fatima, who is one of the active students of Baku Higher Oil School, is among the 10 young people who have been awarded with the Presidential Award for achieving the highest results in the spheres of science, education, culture, youth policy and youth work, public and socially-oriented activities, innovations and entrepreneurship.

Fatima interned as a Process Engineer at SOCAR Turkey and bp and studied for one semester at the Middle East Technical University in Turkey as part of an exchange program.

Fatima represented the team that won first place in the Green Technology category at the Teknofest competition, Turkey's largest aerospace and technology festival, which was held for the first time in Baku. The team earned the opportunity to present its project to Teknofest Türkiyə. The same project took 3rd place in the ClimateLaunchPad interregional competition and won The Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN) competition.
