Baku Higher Oil School, High Technology Park and Korean Institute discuss cooperation opportunities

The Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS) hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Korean Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) visiting Azerbaijan within the K-Innovation Partnership Program of the High Technology Park of the Ministry of Science and Education.  

BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov welcomed the guests and gave them detailed information about Baku Higher Oil School. He said that BHOS, which was created within the structure of SOCAR as a fully English-speaking higher education institution, trains industry-related specialists who meet the needs of the labor market. The rector emphasized that thanks to the industry-university collaboration, BHOS students acquire both deep theoretical knowledge and strong practical skills.  

“Baku Higher Oil School has been successfully cooperating with many local and foreign partners. I am confident that cooperation with the Korean Science and Technology Policy Institute and the High Technology Park will be mutually beneficial”, Elmar Gasimov added.

Head of the Innovation & Research Center of Baku Higher Oil School Ilkin Akhundov informed the delegation about the activities, projects and partner-companies of the Center.

Director General of High Technology Park Vasif Abbasov said that they have been cooperating with the Korean Science and Technology Policy Institute since 2017. He emphasized that the High Technology Park is interested in future cooperation with Baku Higher Oil School and the Korean Science and Technology Policy Institute.

Project Manager of the K-Innovation Partnership Program Eun-Joo Kim applauded the modern teaching conditions created at the university campus of Baku Higher Oil School. He stressed they are sure that cooperation with Baku Higher Oil School will be effective.
