Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan visits Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Azerbaijan Tamas Yojef Torman has visited the Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS).

While touring the campus of Baku Higher Oil School, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov informed the guest in detail about the modern educational conditions and research environment created at the university.

At the subsequent meeting, Elmar Gasimov spoke about the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary, emphasizing that these relations are based on friendship and mutual respect. Touching on the importance of cooperation in the field of education, the rector noted that graduates of Baku Higher Oil School work in various national and transnational industrial companies, including SOCAR’s enterprises. He stressed that 31 out of 102 young people who were awarded the Presidential Scholarship this year are students of Baku Higher Oil School. At the same time, Elmar Gasimov offered his support to the ambassador in establishing cooperation with universities in Hungary. The rector emphasized that Hungary is one of the countries where BHOS graduates continue their education.

Emphasizing that Azerbaijan is an important partner for Hungary, Tamas Yojef Torman expressed interest in establishing relations between Hungarian universities and Baku Higher Oil School. The ambassador said that they would provide every support in this regard. The Hungarian diplomat highly appreciated the conditions created at Baku Higher Oil School.
