Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR hosts Erasmus+ information seminar

A practical seminar on writing and managing Erasmus+ projects was held at SOCAR's Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education and Azerbaijani universities.

Opening the event, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov spoke about the advantages of the Erasmus+ program and the importance of cooperation within this program.

“Baku Higher Oil School attaches special importance to the Erasmus+ program. The Erasmus+ Office operates in our university. We are interested in increasing cooperation within the framework of this international program. I propose to expand this cooperation, which has proved important in terms of gaining experience and mutual benefit. I am confident that this event, held for the purpose of learning practical information on writing and managing Erasmus+ projects, will prove useful for universities”.

Speaking at the event, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Education Tural Ahmadov said that such meetings should be held regularly in order to increase international cooperation between Azerbaijani higher education institutions in writing projects. He stressed that the Ministry is interested in creating conditions for participation in international projects.

Speaking at the event, Head of National Erasmus+ Office in Azerbaijan, Parviz Bagirov, expressed gratitude to Baku Higher Oil School for hosting the seminar and informed the participants about the opportunities created by the Erasmus+ program. He noted that the Erasmus+ program provides opportunities for students and employees of higher education institutions to increase their knowledge, discover new cultures, live and study abroad, adding that it is important to take advantage of these opportunities.

Head of Erasmus+ and International Programs Office of Baku Higher Oil School, Humay Azayeva, also spoke at the event. She informed the seminar participants about the activities of the Erasmus+ Office, which was established 3 years ago at BHOS, the projects it has implemented, and the successes it has achieved.

“During this period, over 90 exchanges with 16 European universities were carried out. Baku Higher Oil School is hosting the ITACA project, and a laboratory has been established here.”

Vice Rector for International Relations of Baku Business University, Eshgin Bayramov, and Director of the University-Industrial Cooperation Department of Baku Business University, Gulshan Bayramova, provided the seminar participants with information about the writing and management of KA2 projects (ECAR and EQAC projects).

The event continued with practical sessions.
