Students of Baku Higher Oil School win hackathon
The "RePlay" team of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) has won the first place in the "Recyclaton" waste reduction hackathon, which was held for the first time in Azerbaijan, with the joint cooperation of ASAN Service, ASAN Volunteers Organization and Coca-Cola Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
The "RePlay" team is represented by fourth-year students of Chemical Engineering, Javidan Zeynalov, Meyvagul Hajiyeva, and fourth-year student of Information Security, Turgut Aghashov.
The project prepared by them envisages the reprocessing of waste and its use in asphalt production.
Three BHOS teams (LuckyRecycling, Wasted Team, Chinar) also achieved success in the hackathon and received incentive awards.
The “LuckyRecycling” team is represented by third-year students of Process Automation Engineering, Fatima Omarova, Samira Garibova and Leyla Guliyeva. The "Chinar" team is represented by Murad Aliyev, a second-year student of Business Administration, Zahid Abdullayev, a second-year student of Process Automation, and Jamila Yusifova, a second-year student of Information Security. The "Wasted Team" team is represented by Huseyn Gambarov, a fifth-year student of Information Security, Taliya Mammadhasanzade, a fifth-year student of Chemical Engineering, Hasan Hasanov, a fifth-year student of Petroleum Engineering, and Khayal Mammadaliyev, a student of Baku Engineering University.
