Students of Baku Higher Oil School win International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival 2022

Students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) are among the winners of the International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival 2022, held with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education. Codeex and DaVinçi teams consisting of BHOS students were awarded in the “Hackathon” (university) category of the Festival.

The DaVinçi team won the 2nd place in the overall competition, and the Codeex team took the 4th place. The Codeex team also won the first place in the “Energy” nomination.

The Codeex team:

1. Jamila Abilova – consultant, 4th year student of Process Automation Engineering
2. Emil Huseynli – 3rd year student of Petroleum Engineering
3. Malik Sultanov – 3rd year student of Petroleum Engineering
4. Nasib Habibov – 1st year student of Computer Engineering

The DaVinçi team:

1. Elmar Asgarzade – consultant, employee of the Innovation and Research Center of BHOS
2. Mehriban Bagirova – 1st year student of Chemical Engineering
3. Shahriyar Eminzade – 1st year student of Chemical Engineering
4. Javid Ismayilov – 1st year student of information Security

Sahib Rzayev, a 2nd year student of Computer Engineering, was a member of the team that was awarded the III place in the "Hackathon" category.

In SAF 2022, 43 teams were awarded first place, 102 teams won second place, and 108 teams took third place. A total of 350 teams and 1500 participants took part in SAF 2022. 127 of them were from foreign countries, and 1300 were local participants. The foreign participants represented Turkey, Great Britain, Sweden, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
