Student of Baku Higher Oil School wins PASHA Hackathon

The “Pasha INSURISE” team, represented by Tahir Askarli, a 3rd-year student of the Petroleum Engineering Department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), has won the “PASHA Hackathon” competition.

40 teams from 11 countries took part in the competition organized jointly by PASHA Holding, Hackquarters and PASHA Life. In total, 179 people participated in PASHA Hackathon.

The “Pasha INSURISE” team won the 2nd place in the 48-hour-long competition.  The team was awarded with 4000 manats.

The goal of the hackathon was to encourage students and coders to solve current workflow problems and generate new ideas. The competition was held under the theme “Increasing the penetration level of life insurance products for certain segments.”

The teams representing Turkey were awarded the 1st and 3rd places in PASHA Hackathon.

The “Pasha INSURISE” team, represented by BHOS student Tahir Askarli, consisted of students from different universities in Azerbaijan. It was the only Azerbaijani team to win the competition.
