Employees of Baku Higher Oil School participate in VII Youth Forum of World Petroleum Council
Teachers of the Petroleum Engineering Department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Vusal Karimov and Rashad Nazaraliyev have participated in the VII Youth Forum of the World Petroleum Council held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Industry experts and young specialists discussed the future prospects of the global oil and gas industry at the forum organized at the Kazakh-British Technical University. The forum participants discussed the energy transition, the latest research methods and implemented plans on reducing the carbon footprint.
More than 700 representatives from 29 countries of the world participated in the global discussion platform. 112 speakers made presentations at the Forum, as part of which more than 20 events were held.
At the forum, BHOS employees shared their scientific achievements with the participants and took an active part in round table discussions. The agenda of the round table included such topics as "Global energy security: the path to a new reality", "International efforts for energy transition" and "Net-Zero: solutions for modern technologies and clean energy".
At the end of the VII Youth Forum, the Forum's Resolution – “Almaty Declaration” was adopted. The resolution confirms the intention to join the joint efforts of all member countries of the organization to discuss the future of the oil and gas sectors.
The VII Youth Forum of the World Petroleum Council is a platform for young professionals and industry researchers to discuss experience, extended information and cutting-edge achievements in the oil and gas industry. The audience of the Forum includes about 2,000 young professionals, students and graduate students.
