     Professor Arif Mammadzade, Head of BHOS Petroleum Engineering Department has turned 70 years old. BHOS rector Elmar Gasimov congratulated Prof. Mammadzade on this occasion:

I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of your 70 year anniversary and wish you every success. You, as a representative of outstanding Azerbaijani intellectuals, have dedicated a significant part of your life to the development of science in Azerbaijan.

 

Once again I would like to sincerely congratulate you on your anniversary, wishing your robust health, long life and great achievement in the field of development of science”.

 

It should be reminded that in 1962-1967 Arif Mammadzade studied at Azerbaijan Institute of Petroleum Chemistry (currently Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University), Oil-Mechanical department. Between 1969-1973, he did his post-graduate studies at the Institute of Petroleum Chemistry and defended his PhD thesis. In 1973-1990 Professor Mammadzade completed his doctorate research at the same institute.

 

In 1970-1990 Arif Mammadzade worked for MSU, USRINeftI, USRNGGİ, TatNEFT, BaşNEFT, West Siberia (Russia), KSU (Ukraine), Notingem (England), Heriot-Watt (Scotland). His working activity started in 1968 at special constructor office as an engineer. In 1968-2013 Professor Mammadzade worked for Azerbaijan Institute of Petroleum Chemistry as a post-graduate student, assistant, associate professor, professor and head of department. Since May, 2013 Arif Mammadzade has been working as a head of BHOS petroleum engineering department. Professor Arif Mammadzade is the author of 122 scientific works, of them 3 ones are books, 2 – manuals. He is also the owner of 11 patents.
