BHOS graduate studying in Saudi Arabia: ‘I am here thanks to what I learned at BHOS
Orkhan Sayidov is a 2020 graduate of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) majoring in Chemical Engineering. He entered BHOS, the university of his dream, in 2015 with 665 points. The BHOS graduate is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on a full scholarship.
Orkhan says that he has achieved this success thanks to the high quality of training at BHOS, the conditions created at this university for students to develop themselves comprehensively.
“BHOS taught us both specialized knowledge and social skills. We studied the Chemical Engineering specialty at a high level both theoretically and practically. During the admission interview to the university where I am currently studying, I was asked questions on the subjects taught at BHOS. At the same time, the social skills and the world view that I gained at Baku Higher Oil School have helped me a lot in the international academic environment.”
Orkhan Sayidov also actively participates in social activities held at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Orkhan, who proudly says that he is a graduate of BHOS, constantly participates in events promoting our country, implements projects and makes presentations.
He says that four Azerbaijani students are currently studying at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and that two of them are BHOS graduates.
Orkhan also says that the university where he is studying shows interest in Baku Higher Oil Scholl and that he wishes to establish cooperation between BHOS and KAUST.
