Successful results of this year's graduates of Baku Higher Oil School

107 bachelor and 61 master students have graduated from Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) in the 2021/2022 academic year. 

31 of the bachelor graduates are working at SOCAR's enterprises (14 - at SOCAR Downstream, 4 -  at Baku Higher Oil School, 3 - at the Oil and Gas Research and Design Institute , 3 - at Azneft Production Union, 2 - at SOCAR Turkey, 2 - at the Information Technologies and Communications Department, 1 - at SOCAR Upstream, 1 - at Neftgaztikinti Trust, 1 - at SOCAR Polymer, 5 – at BP (Great Britain), 4  - at Maire Tecnimont (Italy), 2 - at ADA University, 1 - at ABB, 1 - at PASHA Bank, 1 - at Bank Respublika.

Six BHOS graduates are doing paid internships at SOCAR Polymer, 3 - at Halliburton (U.S.), 1 - at PASHA Bank. Three BHOS graduates who have won the program of Technip Energies (France) will undergo an internship at this company. These graduates will start working upon completing their internship.

29 of this year's bachelor graduates intend to continue studying abroad. Most of them have been admitted to prestigious universities on a full scholarship.

Four of the graduates have been awarded full PhD scholarships from US universities. Another four graduates have won the "State Program for the Education of Youth at Prestigious Universities of Foreign Countries for 2022-2026.” Two of them will continue their studies in Germany, and two - in Great Britain.

In total, 11 graduates will continue their master's studies in Germany. Six of them will study under the DAAD Scholarship Program (in total, seven BHOS graduates have won this scholarship).

This year, eight BHOS graduates will study in Hungary under the Intergovernmental Education Scholarship Program.

Additionally, 2 BHOS graduates will continue their education with a scholarship from the Azerbaijani Government within the framework of the dual degree program of the U.S. George Washington University, 1 – with a scholarship from the Italian Government, 1 –  with a scholarship from the Lithuanian university. 

Besides, some of graduates will study at universities in Spain and the Czech Republic.

A few of bachelor graduates are working in private companies, and some are considering job offers. Also, some of the graduates will continue their master's studies at BHOS and other higher education institutions.

16 of master and MBA graduates of BHOS are working in various enterprises of SOCAR (5 – at Baku Higher Oil School, 3 – at SOCAR Downstream, 1 – at SOCAR KBR, 1 – at SOCAR Methanol, 1 - at SOCAR Urea, 1 – at Head Office, 1 – at SOCAR Fugro, 1 – at the Oil and Gas Research and Design Institute , 1 – at Neftgaztikinti Trust, 1 Information Technologies and Communication Department, 2 – at BP, 1 – at Schlumberger.

BHOS graduates are also working at the International Bank (3 people), the State Social Protection Fund (2 people), PASHA Bank, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan,  the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Parliament, the New Azerbaijan Party, Deloitte Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund, the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
