Aytan Sadirova is a fourth-year student of the Process Automation Engineering Department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS). She entered BHOS in 2018 with a 690 score.
Aytan, who has actively participated in many projects, was a member of the BHOS team, an Azerbaijani team that took part in the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge for the first time in the history of Azerbaijan. She was a winner of the U.S. State Department-sponsored UGRAD exchange program and studied at the University of Maine, one of the best engineering and research universities in the United States, for four months during this year’s spring semester.
Aytan says that her education at Baku Higher Oil School played a big role in her selection for the program.
“Education at BHOS is one of the great advantages. My average grade, English language level, participation in various projects played a role in my selection for the program. The knowledge I gained at Baku Higher Oil School helped me a lot in the United States. While studying in the United States, I did not have any theoretical difficulties concerning my specialty. I can even say that I gained deeper theoretical knowledge studying at Baku Higher Oil School. At the U.S. university, students do mainly lab work”.
