BHOS graduate earns first place at IADC WellSharp Course

Graduate of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), Senior Drilling Engineer at SOCAR's Complex Drilling Works Trust Niyaz Ahmadzade has taken the first place (97% score) in the knowledge assessment examination held among the trainees who completed the IADC Well Sharp (Drilling Operations – Supervisor) Course at the Training Center of the Training, Education and Certification Department.   

Niyaz Ahmadzade graduated with honors from BHOS in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, and in 2020 - with a master's degree.  He was the first to specialize in Field Assessment and Management.

Niyaz Ahmadzade was a member of the OnePetro team, which in 2018 won the 1st place in Azerbaijan’s championship of the international intellectual competition PetroBowl, organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) for students majoring in Oil and Gas engineering.

Niyaz Ahmadzadeh was one of the five students, members of the BHOS team, who  represented Azerbaijan at a high level by participating in the finals of the international competition PetroBowl held in Calgary, Canada, in 2019. He distinguished himself at the competition and Baku Higher Oil School was included in the list of 16 strongest universities in the world.

Niyaz Ahmadzade was hired by SOCAR's Complex Drilling Works Trust in 2018.
