Group of BHOS employees awarded

A group of employees of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) has been awarded various awards on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the university. The employees were awarded by SOCAR, the Ministry of Education and Baku Higher Oil School.

By the order of SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov and Professor of the Petroleum Engineering Department Siyavush Azakov were awarded the “Honorary Oilman” badge from SOCAR.

The awarding ceremony took place on the university campus. Opening the event, Rector Elmar Gasimov congratulated the awarded employees and wished them success. He stressed that the university have achieved great successes over the past 10 years thanks to the hard work and dedication of its faculty and staff.

“10 years of Baku Higher Oil School’s activity are a great success story. During this period, the university successfully achieved its goals and fulfilled its obligations. We have become a big family in the 10 years. Each member of this family has his share in this success. Baku Higher Oil School has an exemplary staff. Here, students, teachers and employees show care and respect to each other. Everyone is working tirelessly to train highly qualified, English-speaking specialists and to nurture students as worthy citizens for our country, our people and our nation. In its 10 years of activity, BHOS has been able to justify the trust of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, the leadership of SOCAR, parents, students and the society in general. In our future activities, we must work harder and move forward with determination to fulfill the task of nurturing exemplary youth."

The rector also commemorated the deceased employees of the university and wished the Lord to bless their souls.

Then Elmar Gasimov presented awards to the employees.

13 BHOS employees were awarded an Honorary Certificate from SOCAR, 5 employees were awarded the badge “Advanced Education Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan” by Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, and 11 employees were awarded an Honorary Certificate from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov awarded 14 employees with an Honorary Certificate. 41 employees and 15 teachers working on service contracts were awarded with a Certificate of Gratitude.

At the ceremony, awards were also presented to two students majoring in Petroleum Engineering, who won a scholarship named after academician Khoshbakht Yusifzade.

Speaking at the event, Professors of the Petroleum Engineering Department Fuad Veliyev and Siyavush Azakov, Associate Professor of the Petroleum Engineering Department Khanum Jafarova, Vice-Rector for Training and Science Zafar Gurbanov, Head of the International Relations Department Konul Maharramova, Deputy Dean of the Engineering Department Rima Guliyeva, Teacher of the Process Automation Engineering Department Orkhan Guliyev expressed gratitude for the high appreciation of their work, noting  that they would continue to work diligently and persistently at the university in order to contribute  to its future achievements.
