Representatives of Baku Higher Oil School visit France within ECAR Erasmus + project
Vice-Rector on Training and Science of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Zafar Gurbanov and Senior Quality Assurance Specialist at BHOS Baghchagul Imanova participated in meetings and trainings that were held in Paris within the framework of the ECAR Erasmus + project, coordinated by Baku Business University and funded by the European Commission.
A 30-member delegation including representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the rector of Baku Business University, and vice-rectors and managers of other partner universities attended these events with the purpose of studying the experience of the European Union Rectors' Conferences to establish the Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan.
During the visit, organized by the French Rectors 'Conference (CPU) and France Education International (FEI), the delegation members were informed about the role of the French education system and the French Rectors' Conference in higher education, as well as the CPU’s organizational structure, funding mechanism, membership rules, strategic goals, international relations and its cooperation with other interested partners. At the end, they got acquainted with the Sorbonne University to study the CPU's cooperation with universities.
Representatives of Azerbaijani universities visited the graves of Alimardan bey Topchubashov, a prominent political and state figure of Azerbaijan, one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) and Chairman of the Parliament of ADR, and Jeyhun Hajibeyli, a great thinker and writer. They also took part in the event organized at the Azerbaijan-France House of Culture.
Following the first training within the ECAR project, trainings will be held in Sweden, Poland and Belgium, which are joint partners for the establishment of the Rectors' Conference.
