Baku Higher Oil School hosts presentation of Model United Nations (MUN)
Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) hosted a presentation of the Model United Nations (MUN).
At the event, Project Assistant at the United Nations Development Program Azer Abasaliyev spoke about the United Nations and the MUN.
He said that MUN clubs have been created at various universities, at which students simulate work at the UN in order to familiarize themselves with decision-making methods, develop eloquence skills, and learn to correctly represent the delegation they lead.
Within the presentation, Azer Abasaliyev held an interactive discussion with the students.
Note that in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated March 19, 2014, the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the UN Development Program signed a draft project on creating new platforms to support the active participation of youth in global political discussions.
One of the main goals of the project is to create MUN Clubs in universities and to institutionalize the MUN movement in Azerbaijan in order to create opportunities for young people to obtain relevant knowledge, skills and experience in the field of diplomacy.
