Lecturers of Baku Higher Oil School visited Spanish University of Alcala
Senior lecturer of the Petroleum Engineering department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Farad Kamyabi and lecturer from the same department Samin Malik visited the University of Alcala (UAH), situated in Alcala de Henares, Spain, in the frames of Erasmus+ programme aiming at strengthening current relations between BHOS and the Spanish university, discussing other fields of cooperation. They participated in the International week hosted by the University of Alcala.
During the visit BHOS lecturers met with UAH vice rector for international relations professor Julio Cañero Serrano and the head of department for European issues Antonio Guerrero. They discussed such strategical issues as development of mutual cooperation between two universities, launch of bilateral activities directed to research projects. BHOS representatives showed interest in academic and social life of BHOS students currently studying in UAH.
Professor Julio Cañero Serrano pointed out the significance of cooperation between BHOS and UAH for educational perspectives, he stressed he was pleased by this fact.
Professor also said that he is of high opinion about BHOS students studying in UAH, he specially emphasized that they are distinguished with their academic activities and energies.
Broad presentations encompassing such issues as research projects by the specialists, unfolding of priority fields, information processing as well as the importance of international cooperation between universities during research period were made during the International Week.
BHOS lecturers made presentation about BHOS in the presence of the representatives of eight countries. Their presentation covered the high-level conditions offered in BHOS campus. The laboratories for engineering, the up-to-dateness of teaching programme raised the interest to BHOS. Information about BHOS’ cooperation with the higher schools, local and international companies, career of BHOS graduates, students’ internship opportunities attracted attention of the participants.
In order to familiarize with UAH there were organized the visits to a number of institutions and faculties of the mentioned university. BHOS representatives had the chance to learn about academic directions of the Spanish university, its graduates, and current activities. BHOS lectures met with the students who study in UAH in the frames of mobility programme. They learned students’ opinion and gave them necessary advices. BHOS lecturers also visited historical places situated in Alcala and outside the city.
