BHOS students field trip to ATA Yard, BP

The 2nd and 3rd year students of BHOS were on a field trip to Ata Yard (Amec-Tekfen-Azfen) within the cooperation framework between BHOS and BP. Prior to the visit rector of BHOS, Elmar Gasimov met with the students. Mentioning the relations with international and local companies, he talked about the BHOS and BP collaboration. He pointed out that the students’ practical experience at transnational companies would be of help in their future career and becoming a specialists of their field. He also underlined that, besides BP students would get chance to have internships at other transnational companies as well. He assured that the cooperation with BP in this sphere would continue. Afterwards students were sent off to the trip.

During the visit trip project manager Rahman Rahmanov, project engineers Yashar Mammadov and Rustam Karimov gave information about Shahdeniz 2 project and other platforms. After having been trained on safety rules, 16 students were divided into 2 groups and with the accompany of 4 engineers - 2 per group started to get familar with the places where the platforms were being built. The visit ended with the briefing.

It should be noted that, the aim of the trip was to introduce students the places of internships and widen their practical knowledge. BHOS students are the first to visit Ata Yard.
