Major: Chemical Engineering
Fatima graduated with honors from secondary school No. 146 named after J. Rahimov in the Surakhani district of Baku.
“It was a great honor for me to receive the Presidential Scholarship. Seeing myself among the 102 young people fills me with a huge sense of pride.
Since its establishment, Baku Higher Oil School has been one of the most prestigious and promising educational institutions in Azerbaijan. I had dreamed of seeing myself as a student at BHOS since my childhood. Both of my parents work for SOCAR and they really wanted their daughter to study at SOCAR's Baku Higher Oil School. I made their dream come true. From a young age I had had a deep interest in chemistry, and this interest had led me to study chemical engineering. Chemical engineering plays an important role in solving one of the world's most important problems, global warming, and other important issues. This was another reason why I chose this major. My goal is to successfully complete my undergraduate studies at Baku Higher Oil School, and if possible, graduate with honors.
I want to spend my years as productively and usefully as possible by being an active student and participating in various projects during my studies. I would like to gain experience from studying abroad during the five years, especially through exchange programs and other international opportunities. I also plan to participate in internship programs of various companies. I want to continue my education abroad and I understand that achieving this will require determination and patience. However, I will do my best to achieve it.”
