Scientific Council
The Scientific Council is the supreme governing body of BHOS. The Scientific Council operates in accordance with the legislative acts of the Republic of Azerbaijan related to education, training, scientific, international and administrative-economic activities and on the basis of a work plan prepared for each academic year in accordance with the Charter of BHOS and this Regulation and approved by the order of BHOS Rector.
Comprised of BHOS management personnel, heads of structural divisions, faculties, and departments responsible for various aspects of academic operations, the Scientific Council also includes representatives from employees' and students' unions, as well as student-youth organizations. When deemed necessary, additional representatives from external scientific and educational entities, companies, and institutions may be invited to join the council.
Decisions within the Scientific Council are made through a democratic voting process, where a majority vote (more than 50% of participants) determines the outcome.
The scientific council convenes frequently, discussing various topics during its meetings. Here are some of the subjects covered in the council's discussions:
