Appeal Committee

Scholarship Committee is entrusted with the important responsibility of managing scholarships. Program Committee

The Program Committee plays a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the academic programs offered at BHOS. Composed of dedicated members from within BHOS's team, as well as seasoned professionals from various industries and representatives from our student body and alumni network, the committee convenes to review, propose, and approve changes to existing programs.

With a diverse array of perspectives and expertise at their disposal, the committee meticulously evaluates program proposals, ensuring alignment with industry standards, educational best practices, and the evolving needs of our students and stakeholders. Through collaborative discussions and thorough deliberation, the committee strives to enhance the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of our academic offerings.

In addition to proposing program modifications, the Program Committee is also empowered to approve new programs that meet the rigorous standards set forth by BHOS. Conversely, in instances where program adjustments are deemed necessary, the committee possesses the authority to enact cancellations or modifications, always prioritizing the interests and welfare of our student body and the broader educational community.

Disability Support Committee

Disability Support Committee is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and providing comprehensive assistance to individuals with disabilities within our community. Comprised of passionate advocates and experts in various fields, our committee is committed to promoting accessibility, understanding, and empowerment for all. During education and exam sessions, we will actively address the unique challenges faced by students with disabilities, ensuring their legal rights are upheld and providing the necessary support for their success. Additionally, our commitment extends to supporting disabled members of our administration, recognizing the importance of inclusion at every level. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to create a more inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive.

Committe members are committed to provide mentoring program, where students with disabilities are paired with experienced mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and assistance tailored to their individual needs. These mentors offer valuable insights into navigating academic challenges, accessing resources, and developing essential skills for success. Additionally, our university offers specialized support services, including academic coaching, assistive technology training, and counseling, to empower students with disabilities to reach their full potential.

Sustainability Committee

Sustainability Committee is comprised of a diverse team including students, a dedicated sustainability officer, volunteers, and key authorities such as department heads, Quality assurance department head, and the vice-rector. Together, we are passionately committed to fostering environmental stewardship and promoting sustainable practices within our organization and the broader community. Our committee works tirelessly to develop and implement initiatives that reduce our carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, and promote eco-friendly alternatives. From waste reduction strategies to renewable energy initiatives, our goal is to cultivate a culture of sustainability that enriches our collective well-being and benefits the planet. Through collaboration and innovation, we aim to inspire positive change and leave a lasting legacy of environmental responsibility for generations to come.

Inclusion Committee

The Inclusion Committee at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) is dedicated to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the academic community. The committee’s mission is to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their background or identity, feel valued and supported. To achieve this, the Inclusion Committee is responsible for implementing the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy, which outlines strategies for fostering an inclusive environment.

The committee collaborates to develop initiatives that provide resources and support for students, staff, and faculty. These initiatives include comprehensive mentoring programs that connect individuals with mentors who provide insights and guidance tailored to their unique needs. Additionally, counseling and peer support programs are designed to empower individuals from underrepresented groups. By creating a supportive network, the committee aims to foster personal and professional development, enhance resilience, and promote a sense of belonging within the academic community. Participants benefit from individualized mentoring sessions, group counseling, and peer support initiatives, all tailored to their unique challenges.

Furthermore, the Inclusion Committee plays a vital role in advising on and implementing policies, programs, and training related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and human rights across campus. The committee strives to create an equitable academic environment by developing initiatives that raise awareness, educate the community, and ensure compliance with best practices in human rights.
