Campus Facilities
The campus of Baku Higher Oil School was opened on May 1, 2017 with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
The BHOS campus is a huge complex consisting of the main educational buildings, a library complex, a congress building for holding mass events, a senate hall, a board office, a cafeteria, new-generation indoor gyms, an indoor swimming pool, outdoor tennis, volleyball, basketball courts, a fitness center, a 1,000-seat stadium and a 500-seat Student House. The 600-seat congress building has a modern infrastructure for holding high-level cultural events. The lecture halls and training rooms in the main educational building are equipped with the most modern equipment, including multimedia equipment.
Campus facilities are thoughtfully designed to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all members of the team. Equipped with elevators strategically placed across the campus, navigating between floors is effortless for wheelchair users and individuals with mobility challenges. For visually impaired individuals, tactile paving and braille signage are implemented throughout the campus, offering clear navigation cues and information. Additionally, our facilities feature spacious corridors and doorways, allowing for easy maneuverability and ensuring that everyone can move around comfortably. With a focus on universal design principles, we strive to create an environment where all members of our community can fully participate and engage in campus life.
The BHOS library has a reading hall for 100 people, computer rooms, training rooms and an e-book distribution area.
Many local and foreign companies operating in Azerbaijan help higher education institutions train specialists. Thus, SOCAR, BP, Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Atenau Ltd, Schneider Electric, Total, Statoil, Microsoft, Emerson Process Management, IBA, Avandsis Group, Maire Tecnimont, Control and Measurement Devices LLC, Turkey-based Petkim and Star companies and other companies have provided Baku Higher Oil School with software and laboratories.
Housing
The BHOS Student House is a complex that can accommodate 500 people. It has rooms for 2, 3 and 4 people, laundries and kitchens on each floor. The complex has a dining room with the necessary infrastructure and staff, as well as modern sport facilities to provide students with high-quality catering services.
Both local and foreign students live in the Student House.
Sport facilities
Sports and physical culture are a source of health, vivacity and sociality. Baku Higher Oil School continuously implements special measures to promote students’ physical health, help them effectively spend leisure time and master various sports’ secrets. Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Chess, Swimming clubs are distinguished by their special activity in this regard.
A modern sports infrastructure equipped with advanced equipment has been created at the university to encourage students develop their sports skills. The BHOS campus has two indoor gyms that meet the most modern requirements, a swimming pool, an outdoor tennis court, volleyball, basketball and athletics courts, a fitness center, and a football field that meets the European standard and has a capacity of 1000 spectators.
Cafeteria
BHOS is committed to provide food choices for everyone, number of options are available, ranging from local foods to international cuisines, vegetarian and vegan selections, and allergy-friendly alternatives. The cafeteria menu is designed in such a way that the dietary restrictions are taken into account, ensuring that all students, regardless of their preferences or restrictions, have access to nutritious and delicious meals. Furthermore, cafeteria staff is trained to assist students with special dietary needs, offering personalized recommendations and ingredient information to help them make informed choices.

At the university, we prioritize the health and well-being of both our students and employees. For students, we provide convenient access to medical assistance through our fully functioning on-campus medical assistant facility, offering a range of services tailored to their needs, from basic health consultations to specialized care. Additionally, our campus health center is dedicated to providing comprehensive information and education services, offering workshops, resources, and materials on various health topics such as nutrition, mental health, sexual health, and substance abuse. We ensure that students have access to the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. For employees, we ensure comprehensive healthcare coverage through our medical insurance plans, which include all services offered at our on-campus health center and beyond. With our commitment to promoting health and wellness, we strive to provide accessible and high-quality healthcare services for all members of our university community.
Ensuring access to mental health support is a fundamental aspect of BHOS’s commitment to the holistic well-being of both staff and students at our university. Counseling services for students are provided by a full-time psychologist, who offers confidential support, therapy sessions, and guidance tailored to individual needs. Additionally, workshops, support groups, and awareness campaigns to promote mental health education and destigmatize seeking help. Our university also hosts a functioning psychology club, providing students with opportunities for peer support, discussions, and engagement in mental health-related activities. For employees, we provide access to mental health resources through our employee assistance program, offering confidential counseling services and referrals to mental health professionals.
