- Why did you choose BHOS? Is there anything you would like to highlight regarding your experience at BHOS?

I always wanted to study abroad to be eligible to work in foreign companies and was doubting to choose education in Azerbaijan back then in 2013.  Despite being newly formed, BHOS collaborating with universities in Europe and providing English curriculum caught my attention. Years later I am happy that I made this decision to join this attractor of bright minds and school of life.  When it comes to education standards, I am sure that rarely you can meet professors and teachers that will patiently explain every detail till you get that "ahaa" moment and take care if you need support in other universities. Thanks to our excellent professors collective,  highest education standards, English curriculum,  demanding environment and healthy competition with most smart students of our country at BHOS formed me to be a very diligent professional who isn't afraid of any challenges and open to all opportunities in domestic and foreign markets.

- What is the most valuable lesson you have learned during your studies at  BHOS? How do you apply it in your daily life?

BHOS is not just an ordinary university, thanks to our rector Elmar Gasimov and all incredible staff members it's a school of life, national values, culture, and discipline. Besides giving high-quality education in engineering disciplines, BHOS played a crucial role in my life in many different senses. I have met true friends - incredibly smart people that are going to be future leaders in our country. Moreover, having frequent meetings with top management of multinational corporations and lectures with regional leaders was an excellent opportunity to build a top-notch network. And of course, thanks to BHOS I have met my spouse, which again proves it to be a school of life and values. Luckily, BHOS is not just a boring place for nerds without a social life. Indeed, I was able to participate in Erasmus exchange programs and enjoy the beaches of Athens, try Georgian cuisine during international programming competitions, get valuable gifts at scientific conferences and take part in some crazy parties

- Can you please tell us briefly about your current job (functions/company/industry)?

BHOS is also very focused on getting you employed and raising you as a valuable professional from the very beginning of your studies. In fact, skills and projects that I learned during lectures made me employed already during my third year of studies. Thanks to internships and practice programs I was able to get deep insight into the labor market and quickly adapt to different environmental requirements.  As a result of hard work and struggles during my BHOS years, today I feel very comfortable and confident as a Senior Software Engineer in Berlin.

- Would you want to share any tips or advice with students interested in applying to BHOS?

It can be hard for you to decide which university to go to, as this is a crucial decision that is going to shape your life. I truly believe that by choosing BHOS you will grow as a highly skilled professional, meet a lot of great people, be noticeable and cool (BHOS is a brand already), and also have a lot of fun along the way. Be prepared though for struggle and challenges, as it's the only way to succeed in life! Wish you the best of luck!
