Process Automation Engineering, 2019 graduate

- Why did you choose BHOS? Is there anything you would like to highlight regarding your experience at BHOS?

At the time, Baku Higher Oil School was the best option for students who want to be successfull future engineers.

- What is the most valuable lesson you have learned during your studies at  BHOS? How do you apply it in your daily life?

A respectful environment

- Can you please tell us briefly about postgraduate study?

During my studies the most valuable lesson I learned at BHOS was that no matter where you go you have to meet people smarter than you and be friends with them.

I always step out of my comfort zone to find and meet new people and expand my network. Joining a number of business and corperations in different projects helps me to discover these types of talanted people.

- Can you please tell us briefly about your current job (functions/company/industry)?

I entered Budapest University of Technology and Economics to study in MSc Computer Science. I participated in several competitions, hackatons, private projects and worked for multiple reputable companies like Ericsson and Nokia as a software engineer.

- Do you feel that BHOS well prepared you for the position?

Previously, I worked at Ericsson as a Software Engineer for a year. In the beginning of my last semester in Budapest University of Technology and Economics, my friend from Baku Higher Oil School and I started working on a project and created our startup company called 'Oxuyan'. It is an online examination platform for everyone to join and check their knowledge on any type of exam or they can create their own exams, contests and quizzes.

I am currently the Co-founder of Oxuyan Examination Platform. My primary focus now is to learn the details of Entrepreneurship in depth and apply it in real life scenarios.

- Would you want to share any tips or advice with students interested in applying to BHOS?

BHOS definitely helped me to some extent to prepare myself for some situations. Everything I have learned during my studies came in handy in certain places. The connections I made there was irrefutably the most valuable part for me.

Do not hesitate to ask questions and try new things on your own. Everything is possible. I encourage the freshmen to find their topic that they are really passionate about on their branch and start consulting with professors on how to publish your own paper on that topic. Academic achievements will help you immensely in the future.
