BHOS holds the 3rd Students Scientific and Technical Conference
On April 23, BHOS held the 3rd Students Scientific and Technical Conference dedicated to the 92nd Anniversary of the National Leader Haydar Aliyev. BHOS administration, faculty and students participated in the conference.
Welcoming the participants, Rector Elmar Gasimov underlined that dedication of the conference to the 92nd anniversary of the National Leader Haydar Aliyev was an express of great respect to his memory. He added that Haydar Aliyev’s policy contributed to establishment of the significant role of Azerbaijan in the global political and economic arena. Emphasizing that the current achievements of the country link directly to the effective oil strategy launched by Haydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, the Rector noted that this strategy had a great impact on the development of economic sectors, as well as on education and science. He accented on the conference being as a useful forum for fostering research skills, while facilitating information exchange among the students of BHOS, which focuses on integration of training and research.
SOCAR Vice-President Kh.Mammadov attending the conference extended his congratulations and wished of success to the participants.
Prof. Rena Mustafayeva, Deputy Chair of the Organizing Committee, the Head of BHOS Postgraduate and PhD Department gave information about the conference structure and underlined that the presentations would be assessed by the panel and the distinguished students would be awarded by the partner companies.
The conference included the plenary and three sessions on Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, Physics and Mathematics, Information and Communication Technologies.
The most comprehensive, informative and interesting presentations were selected by the panel and awarded by the Organizing Committee.
At the end of the conference the winners were awarded diplomas on behalf of BHOS, as well as motivational presents by SOCAR, BP, Statoil, Total, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Emerson, ABB and Avandsis Group.
