          Dean of Engineering Department of Baku Higher Oil School Zafar Gurbanov and head of Process Automation Engineering Department Manafaddin Namazov visited the Republic of Korea on invitation from HMC Co. Ltd. and Kyungsung University. BHOS representatives also participated in a workshop in Seoul and Busan.

 

           During the visit, BHOS representatives met with the management of HMC Co. Ltd. at the headquarters of the company and with professor of the Kyungsung University Park Jung-sik. At the meeting, a presentation covering the company activities in South Korea was made. In addition, issues related to conducting joint research and scientific work including the project on early gas detection and access control system. It is envisaged that HMC Co. Ltd. will realize the project under the supervision of a professor from the Kyungsung University. The meeting participants also discussed prospects of establishing a scientific research center at BHOS based on the above project.

 

            Then Zafar Gurbanov and Manafaddin Namazov made a presentation about BHOS and answered questions. Issues related to developing BHOS cooperation with South Korean companies and universities were also considered. They included, among others, establishment of an advanced scientific and research laboratory on process automation engineering at BHOS and development of close partnership of the Higher School’s Engineering Department with HMC Co. Ltd.

 

             In the course of the visit, BHOS representatives met with the management of the Kyungsung University. At the meeting, prospects of developing cooperation between two higher educational institutions including implementation of a student exchange program were discussed.
