BHOS held Young Chemists Creativity Contest
Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) held Young Chemists Creativity Contest. Welcoming the attendees and the organizers Elmar Gasimov, the Rector of BHOS, opened the ceremony co-organized with the Ministry of Education and briefed on the history, activity, success and perspectives of BHOS. Mr Gasimov mentioned that organization of such contests were the result of BHOS’s close relations with higher educational and scientific research institutions and art centres. He wished success to the competitors and recommended to keep attending such contests regularly.
Welcoming the participants of the contest Huseyn Asgarov, the Deputy Head of Baku Education Department, also pointed out that involving students in such events would serve to increase their motivation and was one of the important aspects to contribute to further decisions related to their career perspectives. He also enumerated some other similar events organized before and appreciated the perspectives of the successive reforms carried out for development of the education system and also extended his wishes of success to the participants.
Narmin Bakhishova, the 1st year Chemical Engineering student and Pernaz Salimova, Presidential scholarship holder and the 3rd year Chemical Engineering student expressed their proud of being the student of BHOS, and emphasized the essential role of the rewarding education environment and active student life formulated at BHOS to facilitate their personal and professional development. Furthermore, they underlined the significant contribution of such contests as an important way of creating a platform for demonstration of the students’ technical skills.
They called the participants to choose BHOS for their further studies and promised to support everyone joining the school.
A total of 26 teams participated in the contest. The teams had to fulfil relevant contest tasks which were later assessed by the Panel and the winners were defined. The winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were accordingly awarded the diplomas and presents on behalf of BHOS.
At the end of the event, the participants had an introductory tour at BHOS.
