BHOS Held an Exhibition on Interest in Technical Creativity

An exhibition on Interest in Technical Creativity devoted to the technical creativity of high school and university students was held at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS). The event was organized with the support and participation of the Young Engineers Club, Badamdar Club and the Young Engineers Development Public Union.

The event was also attended by the representatives of the transnational companies collaborating with BHOS, as well as high school and BHOS students.

Welcoming the participants, Prof. Ramiz Humbatov, BHOS Vice-Rector for Training, Science and International Relations briefed on the achievements made by BHOS within the last three years, as well as modern training programmes and advanced technologies applied for training of specialists. He emphasized that BHOS is focusing on teaching and training which maintains the balance between theoretical and practical knowledge. He also noted that BHOS supported the establishment of the Young Engineers Clubs at high schools in order to increase high school students’ interests to engineering specialities motivating them for technical creativity, as well as talked about the measures taken to set up relevant circles at schools within the last year. Prof. Humbatov expressed his strong belief that the Exhibition would serve to speed up the Clubs’ activities, as well as increase the students’ interest and involvement in technical creativity. Addressing the representatives of international companies Mr. Humbatov called them to support the clubs providing various technical tools, facilities and devices. Underlying Badamdar Club Leader Elchin Abbasov’s support to organization of the exhibition Prof. Humbatov emphasized his great expertise and successful efforts for stimulating technical creativity of young people and extended his gratitude for the contribution to organizing that event.

Rasul Samadzade, third year Petroleum Engineering student of BHOS spoke about the activities of Badamdar Club emphasizing that such activities were of utmost importance for fostering and developing engineering skills and invited students to join the clubs.

Polad Rustamov, Chairman of the Young Engineers Development Public Union, noted that the union’s vision is fully in line with the activities of the Young Engineers Club and Badamdar Club.

Later, Elchin Abbasov, Badamdar Club Leader, briefed on the main achievements made by their organization and shared his views on fostering technical creativity. He added that such events like the Technical Creativity Exhibition significantly contribute to involving young people to opt for technical programmes. On behalf of the participants, Mr. Abbasov thanked Elmar Gasimov, the Rector of BHOS, for supporting organization of the exhibition.

Afterwards, Mr. Abbasov demonstrated a number of models, designs and experiments developed by high school and BHOS students with the support of the Club. The show continued with Q&A session. Some moving and flying design models were also demonstrated to the participants.

The students and participants expressed their great satisfaction with the Exhibition.
