Baku Higher Oil School participates in ClimateLaunchpad Azerbaijan 2017
Representatives of Chemical Engineering department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) participated in the initial stage of ClimateLaunchpad Azerbaijan 2017. Senior research assistant Rima Guliyeva and fourth-year student Tunzala Imanova presented a project entitled “Ecofuel”, while fifth year students Rafael Samadov and Natavan Asgarli submitted a project called “Bioplastics”. Both projects were selected among 41 works for participation in the next stage of the competition – the National Final of ClimateLaunchpad Azerbaijan 2017 to be held on 5th August.
The Grand Final of the competition will be held in Limassol city, Cyprus, on 17-18 October 2017. The first place winner will recevie 10,000€, second place winner will get 5,000€ and third place winner will be given 2,500€.
ClimateLaunchpad, the world’s biggest clean-tech business idea competition, is conducted for the first in Azerbaijan. It provides opportunities for Europe’s most promising start-ups and supports innovations in renewable energy, a sustainable transition in the food chain or any other way to tackle climate change.
