Baku Higher Oil School to work with Pearson Education
Potential areas of cooperation in the field of lifelong learning with focus on engineering professional development were discussed at a meeting of representatives of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and Pearson Education company. The meeting, which was held at the Higher School, gathered BHOS Vice-Rector for Training, Science and International Relations professor Ramiz Humbatov, Dean of Lifelong learning department professor Rena Mustafayeva, Head of International Relations department Konul Meherremova, Program Manager of the Rector’s Office Uzeyir Baghirov, and Business Development Director for Central and Eastern Europe of Pearson Education Mark Couchman. More specifically, the participants discussed opportunity to establish Lifelong Learning Center at the BHOS new campus with support from Pearson Education company.
At the meeting, accreditation of training programs to be delivered by the Higher School’s Lifelong learning department, methodological training to be organized for trainers of the new Centre, projects and initiatives to be implemented jointly within cooperation between two entities, and other issues of mutual interest were discussed. It was also emphasized that establishment of the Lifelong Learning Center in cooperation with the Pearson Education company would help to receive international recognition of the training courses provided by the Lifelong learning department of the Baku Higher Oil School.
