PR campaign by Baku Higher Oil School at schools
Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) holds PR campaign at local secondary schools, which is aimed at raising schoolchildren’s awareness of engineering profession and opportunities to study at the Higher School to become a professional engineer. Up to date, Head of BHOS Student Affairs department Habiba Sadigli conducted meetings with management and upper-form pupils of nine schools including schools in Narimanov, Nizami and Khatai districts in Baku and in Khirdalan town.
During the meetings, Habiba Sadigli made presentations with usage of audio and visual materials and slide shows. She provided overall statistic information about BHOS and told about the Higher School educational programs, internal regulations and minimal entrance points necessary to gain for admission to BHOS. The schoolchildren learned about BHOS history, recent developments, latest achievements and the Higher School’s new campus to be opened soon. The Head of BHOS Student Affairs department also spoke about BHOS long-term partnership with leading higher educational institutions around the world and local and transnational companies operating in Azerbaijan. Within this cooperation, she said, the companies arrange workshops, training and internship for BHOS students and set up modern training centers and laboratories at the new campus.
Several graduates from those schools who currently study at the Baku Higher Oil School also participated in the meetings. In their presentations, they told about the Higher School students’ life, their social, scientific and cultural activities, and youth societies and clubs operating at BHOS. All meetings were concluded with question and answer sessions. The schoolchildren also received Higher School’s promotional materials and leaflets, and group commemorative photos were taken
