At Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Microsoft IT Academy (ITA) was established. Manafaddin Namazov, Associate Professor of Computer and Information-Communication Technologies Department, is the coordinator of the program.

The reason of the establishment of ITA by Microsoft was to train highly qualified specialists in Information Technologies, and is expected to be used both by the teaching staff and students of all other higher education institutions for further future.

The objective of the program is to train competent specialists meeting the contemporary standards in Information Technologies. BHOS will provide the students with best-in-class Microsoft training technologies to acquire professional knowledge and skills. The Program provides vast opportunities for regular users, that is, trainings considered to be held on several applications for regular users, and professional software programs for the experts. Students who hold Microsoft certificates will be able to build their career in Information Technologies.

İştirakçılar Essential (Baza kursu) və ya Advanced (Peşəkarlar üçün kurs) səviyyələrini seçə və ya hər iki istiqamətdə hazırlaşa bilərlər. Essential səviyyəsində masaüstü kompüterlər və noutbuklar üçün istifadə olunan Microsoft Office proqramlar paketi nəzərdə tutulur. Essential səviyyəsinin təlimindən sonra Microsoft Akademiyasının məzunları öz bacarıqlarını təsdiqləmək üçün Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) beynəlxalq sertifikatını əldə edəcəklər.

Trainees may choose one of the two levels or both of them: Essential and Advanced. Essential level includes Microsoft Office Package, which is part and parcel of PC and notebooks. After completing the Essential Level, ITA trainees will be granted the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certificate.

Advanced Level is considered for the training of IT specialists and includes maintenance of PC and notebooks, computer, network and database administration as well as the guidance for development of complex software packages and databases. Students who will be able to hold Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certificate can build a professional career in Information Technologies. The training program is expected to involve the students form other institutions.
