      The event dedicated to the National Salvation Day, celebrated in Azerbaijan June 15, was held at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS). The event gathered BHOS management, professors, lecturers and students. Opening the meeting BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov talked about historical significance of the National Salvation Day and the irreplaceable merits of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Haydar Aliyev connected with building and strengthening of our independent state. He stressed that the struggle every nation had gone throw in their history to gain freedom and independence was of special importance. BHOS Rector said that it was not easy at all to win freedom and independence and not all nations were fortunate to gain it, as apart from winning it, one should be able to safeguard the mentioned freedom and independence. Elmar Gasimov specially stressed that our country managed to reach social and political stability owing to return of the National Leader Haydar Aliyev to the power in 1993 following nation’s insistent demand. This wise step taken by the National Leader played crucial role in social, political and economic development of Azerbaijan, strengthening the state and having prevented any attempts directed to damage our statehood. In addition, BHOS Rector underlined that the National Leader Haydar Aliyev’s determination highly encouraged Azerbaijani nation and turned the country into strong state confidently looking ahead.

      Emphasizing that as the result of farsighted and wise policy of the National Leader Haydar Aliyev Azerbaijan managed to become strong, independent state of the region, Elmar Gasimov also pointed out that the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev is the worthy successor of the ideas of the National Leader.  In conclusion, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov congratulated Azerbaijani Nation on the National Salvation Day, June 15
