National popularization office on combat drug addiction held the workshop on combat drug addiction for BHOS students in the frames of ‘Towards healthy society’ popularization campaign. Deputy chair of the mentioned office Leyla Yolchiyeva conducted the workshop. During the workshop explanations to the drug addiction, drug means, various types of drugs and how they affect human life and society, hazardous risks, the origin and severe consequences of drug addiction, health hazard connected with it, the illegal use of the drug and its turnover were given.

 

Leyla Yolchiyeva said that organization of such kind of workshop is very significant to raise the awareness of the younger generation taking into consideration the recent rise of illegal drug turnover and the number of drug addicted people globally based on statistic information. The workshop proceeded by the questions and answers session. 

 

In conclusion special awareness raising booklets published by the National popularization office on combat drug addiction with the financial support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan Republic were distributed.

 

The workshop on combat drug addiction aimed at giving information to students on drug addiction and all complications it causes for society, bringing youth’s health to the forefront and calling everyone not to take drugs.
