   The event gathering professors, lecturers and students and dedicated to Youth Day celebrated February 2, was held at BHOS. Opening the meeting BHOS vice-rector for training, science and international relations Ramiz Humbatov heartily congratulated the students and all Azerbaijani youth on behalf of BHOS rector Elmar Gasimov. Ramiz Humbatov said that new reforms directed to the development of youth in Azerbaijan was still being implemented on the part of the government. Providing students’ education in foreign countries owing to ‘State Programme on education of Azerbaijani youth in foreign countries envisaged for 2007-2015’ based on the order of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev dated October 19, 2006 and the signing of ‘Development strategy for Azerbaijani Youth envisaged for 2015-2025’ were brought to notice. Stating that the youth, constituting the foundation of human potential of Azerbaijan, may enjoy diverse opportunities offered to them BHOS vice-rector also said that they should worthily use them. According to Ramiz Humbatov Baku Higher Oil School is very successful socially oriented project realized by the government. In addition he said that higher school was successfully carrying out all works in this direction. BHOS vice-rector advised students to work hard being good citizens and highly qualified specialists at the same time. One more time Ramiz Humbatov extended congratulations to students on the occasion of Youth Day wishing them every success in education and social life.

 

Lecturer of BHOS process automation engineering Abbas Alili, second year student studying in process automation engineering programme Pakiza Pashayeva spoke about youth policy pursued by Azerbaijan and congratulated the students. Then the students who were distinguished with their activities, worthy representation of BHOS in sport, scientific and social events, contests, workshops, and conferences were awarded. Thus the students who within the whole academic year were really active, participating at various events, training courses held at BHOS as well as the contests held at national level were awarded encouraging diplomas, certificates and gifts.
