BHOS student won an International Hackathon, representing Azerbaijan

Gulay Nazarova, a fifth-year student at the Information Security Department of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), took second place in the CECECO Clean Energy Hackathon 2026 international competition, organized by the Clean Energy Center of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (CECECO).

The BHOS student, who participated individually in the Hackathon, attended by young people aged 16 to 35 from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, became the only winner from Azerbaijan.

The CleanAxis project she presented to the competition envisions the creation of an AI-based digital hub platform.

The main objective of the Hackathon was to develop innovative digital and data-driven solutions in the field of clean energy. A total of 207 applications from the above-mentioned countries were submitted to the competition.
