Ambassador of Uzbekistan visits Baku Higher Oil School

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov visited the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) of SOCAR.

Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov toured the guest around the campus building.

The Rector provided the Ambassador with detailed information about Baku Higher Oil School and the educational environment created at the university. He mentioned that a dual degree program is being implemented between BHOS and two universities in Uzbekistan.

“As part of the exchange program, students from various universities in Uzbekistan are studying at Baku Higher Oil School. A total of 25 Uzbek students are currently studying at Baku Higher Oil School.”

Elmar Gasymov also stressed the importance of expanding cooperation, organizing summer and winter schools, and increasing the number of international students.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan highly praised the conditions created at Baku Higher Oil School, noting that “the largest number of Uzbek students in Azerbaijan are studying at Baku Higher Oil School.” He emphasized that “the Embassy is interested in expanding cooperation in the field of education and is ready to provide the necessary support in this regard.”

The sides also discussed issues related to the organization of joint events for students.
