Baku Higher Oil School hosts FinovateBank Hackathon in partnership with Bank Respublika
An innovative competition called "FinovateBank Hackathon" was held at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) in partnership with Bank Respublika.
During the two-day hackathon, 12 teams selected from nearly 109 applications developed programming and business-oriented solutions to real banking problems. Throughout the competition, participants demonstrated their knowledge and skills in the field of financial technologies and presented original ideas aimed at improving banking services.
The teams' projects were evaluated based on their degree of innovation, technical execution, usefulness, and quality of presentation. According to the results of the hackathon, held in a highly competitive environment, first place was awarded to the team "TECHBHOSS," consisting of BHOS students. Second place went to the team "InnoBankers," and third place to the team "Business Support," consisting mostly of BHOS students. The winners were awarded cash prizes from Bank Respublika in the amounts of 3000, 2000, and 1000 manats, respectively.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov thanked Bank Respublika for its partnership and contribution to the implementation of such initiatives. The rector expressed confidence that the hackathon would make a significant contribution to developing the creative potential of young people, enhancing their practical knowledge and helping them achieve success in their future careers.
In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Bank Respublika Elnur Gasanov noted that this collaboration is highly significant in terms of supporting youth, fostering a creative environment, and promoting innovation. He stressed that this successfully held hackathon provided an ideal platform for young people to offer new technological banking solutions and to demonstrate their different thinking skills.
