BHOS students selected for ITU and Huawei’s GCYLP program

Students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) have been selected for the Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme (GCYLP), a joint initiative of the UN's International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Huawei.
Nizameddin Israfilli, a fourth-year student majoring in Process Automation Engineering, and Aysel Rahimli, a third-year student majoring in Process Automation Engineering, were among the selected 31 young people.
More than 6,800 young people from 156 countries applied to the program.
Our students will receive both training and mentoring support, as well as a US$5,000 grant to implement their digital development projects. Ultimately, the most successful projects will be awarded additional financial support in the amount of US$5,000.
They will also receive an invitation to the Development Week event to be held in Switzerland.

This event serves as a unique platform for young leaders to meet and exchange ideas and experiences. The goal of the program is to enhance the role of young people in building an inclusive and empowered digital future.
