BANM Associate Professor Speaks as Keynote Speaker at Scientific-Practical Seminar in the Gazakh-Agstafa Region.
A scientific-practical seminar titled “From Stone to Memory: Albanian Monuments, Identity, and Collective Memory in the Gazakh-Agstafa Region” was held in the region, jointly organized by the “Avey” and “Keshikchidagh” State Historical-Cultural Reserves.
The keynote speaker of the seminar was Associate Professor of Baku Higher Oil School and PhD in History, Parvin Ahanchi.
In his presentation titled “From Stone to Memory: Albanian Monuments, Identity, and Collective Memory in the Gazakh-Agstafa Region,” he emphasized that sites such as the Damjili Cave, remnants of Albanian churches, khachkars (cross-stones), and inscribed tablets located in the Gazakh region are not only examples of tangible cultural heritage but also symbolic spaces that play a significant role in shaping collective memory.
