SOCAR Launches “Energy Leaders” Program under Leadership Academy
SOCAR has officially launched the “Energy Leaders” program as part of its Leadership Academy initiative. The main goals of the program are to enhance the leadership skills of mid-level managers, implement modern management approaches, and establish shared management values across the organization.
Organized in collaboration with the international training and consulting company FranklinCovey, the program is designed to train more than 2,300 managers through a new Leadership Competency Model. The training consists of 9 comprehensive modules:
- Sustainability
- Change Management
- HR for Managers
- Finance for Non-Finance
- Digital Literacy
- Project Management
- Team Dynamics
- Communication Skills
- Leadership
Among these, the Sustainability module stands out as a key addition that reflects SOCAR’s strategic commitment to long-term environmental responsibility, social impact, and governance excellence. The module equips leaders with the knowledge and tools to integrate sustainable practices into business operations, aligning with global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.
Staff members from Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) are also actively participating in the program, reinforcing the university’s dedication to continuous professional development and to fostering leadership that meets the evolving demands of the energy sector.
